Remington Arms sucks! Bought a brand NEW model 700 in a 26" barrel in a 7mm Rem mag caliber. Fired 4 shots to center the rifle. Rifle is accurate...BUT, all 4 rounds were difficult to extract. 4th round could not be extracted. This is a BRAND NEW rifle!!!! None of my Weatherbys, Winchesters or Savage arms do this...never! Rifle itself is too light for the caliber. Cheesy bolt as well, at least half as thick as any other Mouser type bolt! Some bean counter wanted to save money I guess, at our expense and safety. I will NEVER buy another REMINGTON in my lifetime! Will recommend the same to all friends and family as well as any service members I know. Oh yeah...Remington in Ilion NY has had my rifle for 4 days now to be repaired...still waiting.
Terrible customer service and the R51 9mm is terrible. Out of the box it didn’t work. I sent it in for repair and it still didn’t work when it was shipped back to me. However, the customer service representatives who spoke with me were rude. They implied that it was me that didn’t know how to use the firearms when my smith and Wesson and AR15 work just fine. I’ve operated a good amount of firearms. The whole time this company’s representatives didn’t take responsibility and they were rude. They had very smart mouths on them and I can promise that I’ll never purchase another item from this company anywhere. I highly recommend people who are new to firearms to start with any other company first before coming to this one. They’re terrible and they don’t deserve the right to manufacture weapons. Very unreliable and I don’t recommend anyone get a concealed weapon from them, all they do is jam and nose dive in the mag. They really tried to blame the function on the ammo when I was running decent ammo. Like even if I was running horrible ammo the gun should fire. All of my other guns function. These people need to shut down production, do not waste your money here unless you are satisfied with rude and slow service.
I stopped by the museum and store, it was cool. I wish they sold actions and parts not just hats and t-shirts
Models 700, 780 & 1100 Are legendary they just work and look great doing so. 200 hundred plus year's in the small arms arena. A Great American Company.!
Guns along the mohawk... good company. Plus they once sent me a small part for an old Remington gun-- for free! Shocking. Museum is cool, too, and they have long provided our military with precision arms.
